Obama’s Love Affair With Abortion

February 28, 2009 By: P.R.E.Z. Category: abortion, anti-christ, barack obama

I don’t understand the obsession that Obama has with abortion. It appears as if he’s on a mission to systematically increase the mass slaughter of the unborn and he’s willing to force medical professionals across the country to do it.

Conscience? We Don’t Need No Stinking Conscience!

One of the last acts of the Bush administration was to pass a regulation that allowed doctors and health care professionals to refuse to perform abortions based on moral ramifications. A Health and Human Services (I just find that title ironic) announced that they will post their intentions and open a month long discussion on the issue from medical professionals around the nation as well as the public at large. That official did not want to be named because the notice had not been completed yet.

“It would be a horrible move. These regulations were a long time coming,” said Tom McClusky, vice president at the Family Research Council. “What they seek to do is protect patients, nurses, doctors and other health care professionals from being forced to violate their consciences.”

As always, it was the wording in the bill that is the bone of contention. Supporters said that is clarified federal policies and increased awareness to medical professionals about what they were allowed to do in keeping with their conscience. Opponents said it was too vague and argue that it would reduce access to health care services.

“I think it’s a wonderful step,” Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), co-chair of the Congressional Pro-Abortion…errr…Pro-Choice Caucus. She’s introduced legislation to overturn the regulation.

“That rule was actually a poorly drafted last-minute attempt to, I think, restrict health care access and I think it would have had far-reaching and unintended consequences.”

The White House released a statement saying Obama supports a “carefully crafted” conscience clause, not Bush’s version. In other words, make it more difficult for doctors, nurses, and others, to refuse to perform abortions.

The Change Hasn’t Changed

In my post Four Reasons To Have An Abortion, I laid out the facts as to why people have an abortion. None of them are reasons. All of them are excuses. More importantly, as a Christian (a real one), we should oppose this kind thing at every turn. The fact that this man supports such a heinous act and calls it “health care” should be a big red flag. The Bible is clear:

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)

Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border. (Amos 1:13)

We have to stand against this, pray against this evil and be what God has called us to be: beacons of light in a land of darkness.

Get on the horn right now and start giving your representatives and senators a call. Email them and let them know that you oppose this.
