With the way the U.S. economy is going right now, people losing their houses and jobs, big business on the verge of going under, and the American dollar falling in worth by the minute, a common denominator across the board that contributes to all of those problems is debt. Christians should know that though the Bible doesn’t say that debt is wrong, it does plainly discourage getting into it and encourages getting out of it. It should be the financial goal of every Christian to be free from debt.

The Bible states, The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7).
