With the way the U.S. economy is going right now, people losing their houses and jobs, big business on the verge of going under, and the American dollar falling in worth by the minute, a common denominator across the board that contributes to all of those problems is debt. But with every problem there’s a solution.

Christians should know that though the Bible doesn’t say that debt is wrong, it does plainly discourage getting into it and encourages getting out of it. It should be the financial goal of every Christian to be free from debt.

The Bible states, The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7). No one likes to be beholden to anyone and being financially bound is not God’s best for us (Matthew 6:24). Well Black Friday is just a couple of days away and every retail store is going to be pulling out the stops when it comes to store specials. Many of the stores are doing pre-Black Friday sales and one of those stores is K-Mart.

Today is the last day for you to go to Kmart.com and take an extra 10% off of the price. Like the 1/4ct tw Diamond 5-Stone Journey Pendant and Earrings Set in 10K Yellow Gold or the Abbey Hill Bedding Medallion Dream Bedding Collection which they have for an extra 30% off.

These deals are online only and good until tonight (November 26th). Oh…the sales price shows up in your online cart, not the product page so if you think the deal is good already, wait until you click over.

I am a military buff. I love guns, missions, tactics, the whole nine. I have a whole slate of military like PC games like Call of Duty and Rainbow Six. Even in the MMORPG I play, City of Heroes, my main character uses guns and tactics. So when I got a chance to review a police gear website, I went for it.

When I first went to the website, I was impressed with the layout. Everything is in a place where it’s simple to find. You can mouse over the categories and you have over 50 different ones to choose from: guns safes, GPS units, optics, tactical vests, mace, handcuffs, and a whole lot more.

Well things are getting a little involved here at The Truth Manifesto. So much so that we’re running advertisements. You may have noticed that in one of my recent posts. These advertisements come in a two different ways. Let me explain:

1. Sidebar Ads – Of course you have our sidebar ads. Those ads we run to try and match up with our audience the best we can. We’ll be running a poll here very soon in terms of finding out just what you, my readers, are interested in so look for it later on.

2. Post Ads – Some of the ads that we run will be in the form of a post. You’ll recognize them because it will plainly say so at the top of the post.

That’s a good question seeing that the site is mainly one of news and opinion. But really it’s quite simple: people gotta eat. Though I could gain to lose some pounds, I still need to eat occasionally and that takes money.

The reason I have this is for a couple reasons:

O.K. On to other news.

One thing that we’ve learned from this past administration is that spending without a way to pay it back is a mighty fine way to open up your own personal money pit. With the mortgage bailout now marinating and a possible GM bailout on the horizon, it’s always good to have a plan of attack to pay back your debt in case some unforeseen incident happens upon you.
