The Truth Manifesto

Even though I do a lot of reading already, I find myself going on tangents when it comes to new material. So when I heard about the Jesus Tree Ornaments, I had to check it out.

The new book by Garry R. Kennedy is a twist in the true meaning of Christmas. With this past Christmas sporting atheist advertisements in our nation’s capital, it was good to see an independent publisher compelled to write about Christmas.

The crux of the story is about a man and his struggle to reclaim a crumbling faith in the midst of tragedy and adversity. The three sample chapters that you can read online gives a tone that’s reminiscent of Miracle On 34th St. but with a Christian twist and meant more for an adult audience.

Mr. Kennedy took over twenty years to decide to write this 400+ page book. It’s categorized as a spiritual action-adventure. I’m always interested in stories on good vs. evil from the right perspective so I’m going to read all of the sample chapters at the website. From what I’ve read so far, it’s not too bad.

I’m not into Santa Claus much. I knew that there was no such thing at a very early age. I played along because it was fun. However, as I got older, I began to see how the concept of Santa had been vulgarized and more so in the day and age that we live in.

The reason I played along was because generally , Santa and everything that was associated with him stood for something good and innocent.

Well, you had to wonder when it would happen but now so called wildlife experts are debating over whether Santa’s reindeer were male or female. I wish I were kidding.

“Santa’s reindeer were really females, most likely,” according to Alice Blue-McLendon, a veterinary medicine professor specializing in deer in a recent AP story. Or they may be castrated males according to Greg Finstad who manages the Reindeer Research Program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Now, normally I’m not this brusk, or try not to be, but this is just plain stupid.

It’s a fictional story. Fiction. It doesn’t have anything to do with the overall purpose of the story and no one really cares about their gender.

Two things I see here.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools (Romans 1:22)

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (1 Corinthians 1:19-20)

You would think that they would have something better to do then to analyze the gender of some reindeer in a fictional story. This is a conversation people have when they’re drunk trying to prove a foolish point for no good reason. Absolute nonsense.

The other thing I see is feminism.

Notice that when mentioning the gender that males are either eliminated or if they are there then emasculated.

This is what happens when you let the inmates run the asylum.
