The Truth Manifesto

Sometimes as I’m writing these posts, I get the distinct feeling I hear crickets in the background. I mean, every once in a blue moon, someone will comment on what’s been posted but by and large, a brotha is feeling kind of lonely here.

I can say that some of that is my fault, the operative word being some. So, in the interest of participation and interaction, I’ve decided to have a poll following every post that will ask a relevant question. These polls will allow you to kind of get in on the discussion here.

Also, we’ll be installing a new comment interface. This will allow rich text editing in addition to posting YouTube videos.

Couple of comments:

1. The one thing I’m not going to tolerate is foul language or videos. If you can’t get your point across without spitting obscenities, keep quiet because I WILL delete it.

2. Let’s not write a novel. I understand that you may be passionate about something but you need to keep your responses in the 500 word maximum range (I’m being generous here). If you can’t say it within that amount then you’re talking too much.

3. I also will not tolerate calling people derogatory names in exchanges. I will delete posts that do that with extreme prejudice.

Realize that if you spam or come here simply to cause trouble, I’ll ban you faster than you can say, “I hate P.R.E.Z.” No one is saying you have to agree with every detail. But I’m only interested in lucid, self-controlled discussions. If you can’t adhere to these rules, then ignore this post.
