H.R. 1913, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, sponsored by John Conyers (D-MI), was just passed in the house this past. The bill is, quite frankly, a superfluous piece of legislation that pushes a thought police agenda.

The bill seeks to punish offenders for crimes ‘motivated’ by hate because of race, religion, color, natural origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.

Here’s a slab of common sense: if someone is motivated to hurt some one physically, especially to the point of using a firearm or incendiary device to murder, it’s a safe bet that they hate them. Juuuust a little.

We have laws in place that punishes criminals who perpetrate violent crimes. To add more because of a perceived hate is just political correctness making its way into the courtroom.

BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE!

Here’s where it gets disturbing and downright discriminatory.

In Section 6, it starts off saying:

(a) In General- Chapter 13 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:

It would make sense to find out what that part of the code says:

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same;

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

This is what is called the Conspiracy Against Rights and it could, in effect, allow law enforcement to consider speaking against, oh…homosexuality in a church or online, as a hate crime. The key word here would be oppress. It’s an attempted end around the First Amendment.

THE COUP DE GRACE

To throw us a bone, they add this at the end:

Nothing in this Act, or the amendments made by this

Act, shall be construed to prohibit any expressive conduct protected from legal prohibition by, or any activities protected by the free speech or free exercise clauses of, the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Look closely at that. The part we need to be concerned with is protected from legal prohibition. If this bill passes and becomes a law, then it’s legal and therefore the rights you have under the First Amendment are null and void when exercising your free speech if that speech is something they deem oppressive to these groups.

TIME TO GET BUSY

As I said before, this has already passed the house and it needs to be stopped. Americans for the First Amendment need to flood the phones, emails, and mailboxes of their reps and tell them to vote against this bill. Write and call multiple times. It’s time to show them that we’re going to hold them accountable.

Remember, they are employed by us. We are their boss.

The Bible says:

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:9-10)

As Christians, we’re here to serve and we have a responsibility and duty as stewards of this nation to look to protect the welfare of others. To be able to do this is a privilege and a blessing. Take your responsibility as an American seriously. Otherwise, the freedom that we have to worship and speak the very word of God will vanish.

Could be that some of them equate this as some kind of equal rights when it couldn’t be further from the truth. Yet, once again, another company joins the gay agenda bandwagon.

The AFA has been keeping a breast of this and I actually received this piece of information about a week ago. But it seems like Pepsi is being even more blatant about their support of the homosexual agenda.

Pepsi gave $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest and most powerful gay lobbying group in America. The company also gave $500,000 to Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). The total gift of $1,000,000 to the two homosexual activist groups was to help promote the gay lifestyle in the workplace.

After Pepsi gave their money to HRC, HRC gave $2.3 million to oppose California’s Prop 8, an initiative which defined marriage as being between one man and one woman.

Pepsi also forces its employees to attend sexual orientation and gender identity diversity training, where they are taught to accept homosexuality.

WHAT TO DO

You can find out the whole scoop and join the movement by going here:

Boycott Pepsico

Interestingly enough, the video was taken off of You Tube for breaching the terms of violation. But they are still adamant about being a part of the homosexual agenda.

TIME TO MARCH OR WHY WE BOYCOTT

It’s time to stop buying those Pepsi products. The ones we know about at least. They probably have their hands into a bunch of candy and all kinds of junk food.

What is the big deal? Why should we boycott a company standing up for what they believe in? Well, it’s all about the kingdom of God and promoting his agenda. If we use our money to promote those things in this country which are ungodly and immoral, then we are just as much to blame for the sorry state that our culture is in.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Romans 12:9)

That which is good is defined by what scripture lays out. When we support and live according to those tenets, we show love because God is love (1 John 4:8) and by virtue of what He is, what is says is borne out of love.

But really, it shouldn’t stop there. Music. Television. Books. Those things we have direct control over. We don’t want to help propogate those things that God patently disapproves and calls evil and sinful. In this case, homosexuality.

If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. (Job 11:14)

This is not to say that Pepsi can’t promote this agenda. They can. This IS the Unites States of America. Land of the free and home of the brave (for the time being. Looking pretty grim on that front). But as Christians, we have control over whether we’ll contribute to this kind of nonsense and we should opt out. Immediately.

You knew that I had to go here at one time or another.

The defeat of Proposition 8 in California and the response to it reflects the high and intense tensions over gay marriage and the homosexual agenda. In a lame move, gay activist are calling this the new civil rights movement which couldn’t be further from the truth and is an affront to black people all over the United States.

Recently, I received an email from an associate on Myspace. She had been having some problems coming to terms on what her stance, as an admitted conservative Christian, should be on gay marriage and asked me to help her in this regard. I quickly went to work and laid out the following argument.

IT’S ONLY A PIECE OF PAPER

The way people would want you to look at marriage, they would have you believe that it’s only a piece of paper givin by the government and that’s what makes a marriage a marriage. Wrong.

Marriage is not a government institution. It was instituted by God way back in Genesis 2:18-25. This is why God says in the Ten Commandments, “Thou shall not commit adultery.” I harped on this with my sons as they were growing up. As Christians, we take the institution of marriage seriously because God puts a premium on it. Marriage is a big deal.

God is so serious about marriage that He expects a couple to stay together forever once that commitment is made. The covenant, or agreement, made between a man and a woman God expects each to fulfill. There are very few things that can break that bond and infidelity is one of them. The reason for this is because the oneness God speaks of that seals the deal in a marriage is the consummation of the marriage (sex). A man and woman’s body is uniquely designed to join together in a way to where it is a type of the oneness in the relationship in the Trinity. In Malachi 2:13-15, He chastises Israel because of the rampant divorce among them for any reason, stating that He hates divorce. Marriage is no joke and it’s all God’s idea.

WHEN THE LAW IS WRONG

Just because something is legal doesn’t make it right, especially in the eyes of the living God.

Any law that is instituted by man which does not line up with God’s law threatens to bring judgment on the nation that instituted that law. It happens continuously throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. That is why the world was judged in The Flood (Genesis 6), why God confused the languages at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 10), why God judged the Pharaoh concerning Israel (Exodus), why Israel went to war against the heathen nations (Joshua, Judges), why God judged Israel when they turned from God (too many books to list), why the apostles refused to stop spreading the gospel when told not to by the governing authority of their day (Acts 5), and on and on.

MARRIAGE. WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?

Concerning gay marriage, we who are God’s children (and that’s not everyone) must look at it from God’s perspective. What is the purpose of marriage? There are four main ones:

1.) God’s Glory – This is always paramount in what God does. To bring Himself glory. Gay marriage is expressly against this and I’ll explain why in a moment.

2.) Companionship – It’s one of the reasons why God decided Adam should have a wife (Genesis 2:18).

3.) Procreation - God specifically says to be fruitful and multiply. Children are a blessing and a byproduct of a holy marriage. This is impossible in a gay marriage.

4.) Sexual Intimacy – Sex is for marriage. It deepens the bond between a man and a woman. It should be enjoyed by both (Song of Solomon 6-7).

Already we have a problem when the kind of relationship we enter into can’t fulfill God’s full purpose for marriage.

But the biggie is the fact that God is totally, unequivocally, against homosexuality, so much that He calls it detestable and disgusting (abomination). You have to do some SERIOUS hurdle jumping to justify it and even then it doesn’t pass scriptural muster because of the sheer volume of scriptures that speak against it: Genesis 13:13; 19:5-7, Deuteronomy 23:17, Leviticus 18:1,22; 20:13, 1 Kings 14:24; 15:12, Ezekiel 16:49, Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 2 Peter 2:6, Jude 1:7.

There’s more but you get the picture.

Outside of scripture, there are all kinds of health reasons as well as historical ramifications which support scripture. I’ll be looking at those soon. In the meantime between time, feel free to read this telling article Parallels between the fall of Rome and modern America.

Let the hatin begin.

When I first started researching this story yesterday, it was no where to be found. Later FOX carried it briefly on the O’Reilly Factor. You can best believe that if the shoe was on the other foot, it certainly would be splattered everywhere. But like usual, it’s strangely silent when a group of radical gay activists storm a church, terrorize its members, and blaspheme God with an upside down pink cross.

Bashing Back

Calling themselves Bash Back, the anti capitalist, anti-Christ organization is bent on direct action, many in the group gaining their inspiration from the Stonewall Riots and White Night Riots.

Susan Fani of the Catholic League says, “Outside they were chanting ‘Jesus was a homo’ on a megaphone. They were beating on buckets, presumably to drown out what the pastor was saying inside the church, and carrying an upside-down pink cross,” she explains. “They set off the fire alarm. They unfurled this big banner
because they apparently were hiding in an unused part of the church, like the balcony area.”

Other reports say that they stormed the pulpit shouting obscenities at the church and carried a banner which said, “It’s okay to be gay! Bash Back!”

More news came out yesterday that the group had been planning this for over a month.

“The facts are not in dispute,” says Bill Donohue, Catholic League president. “All one has to do is tap into the website of Bash Back! There one will find that on Oct. 12 and Oct. 23, a memo was sent to members of the group to commemorate the founding of ‘Michigan’s newly formed chapter’ asking ‘Queers and Trannies’ to join in storming the church. The group boasts that in 2008 there has been ‘an explosion in Radical Trans/Queer organizing,’ citing progress that has been made from ‘Maine to the Midwest to The Bay Area.’ Bash Back! was founded to fight ‘State recognition in the form of oppressive institutions such as marriage and militarism’; it says both are ‘steps towards hetero-normative assimilation.’ The radical nature of the group has led it to protest pro-gay marriage organizations like the Human Rights Campaign.”

It Just Gets Worse

No sooner does this happens then Pepsico jumps on the gay agenda bandwagon, similar to what McDonalds did recently.

Much of this is fueled, I believe, by the defeat of Proposition 8 in California. Gay advocacy groups were shocked at that outcome and went on to protest which brought about attacks on Mormon temples who had financed a good portion of the law.

An interesting fact is that 70% of African-Americans voted against the proposition according to USA Today. True to form, they’re being blamed for it’s defeat.

Blacks Were Brainwashed

Reporter Robert Paul Reyes from NewsBlaze.com said, “Mormons make up a tiny percentage of the electorate in California, it was evangelicals, Catholics, and people of faith of all stripes who are responsible for the passage of this abominable proposition. It’s deeply disappointing that blacks were primarily responsible for the passage of Proposition 8. Religion is so pernicious and odious that it can make African Americans, who have endured discrimination for centuries, vote for a measure that is blatantly discriminatory toward gays and lesbians.”

Oh…so it was religion that made them do it. Pretty much the equivalent of the devil made me do it. Because, you see, black people were too stupid to know what the bill was about and vote what they wanted to vote. They simply had their minds clouded. And since they don’t want to offend anyone, they have to blame someone. Might as well blame religion.

Riiiiight.

We shouldn’t be surprised by this. We’ll take a long hard look at how scripture is being played out right before our eyes in the next day or two so stay tuned.
