American Patriot. Ungrateful Servant.

There are a lot of people across the United States unsatisfied with the direction the country is going and rightly so. We are in the midst of a socialist regime that seeks to change the very foundations of which this nation was founded. This philosophy, when administrated as a government mandate, suppresses freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is not the fault of one man who is just a figurehead for all that is going wrong in this nation. It is an administration that seeks to polarize and demonize those who don’t hold their views, vilifying them for their belief in God and adhering to the Judeo-Christian values and principles that this nation was founded on (see the David Barton video on the Founders).

While this is all going on, we should really be grateful.

Minority Majority

In the Bible in Luke 17:11-19, there’s a story about Jesus healing ten lepers. He told them to show themselves to the priests and in faith, they got up and went, being healed on the way. Of the ten only one went back and thanked Jesus and a foreigner at that, not a Jew. Ten were blessed but only one was grateful and this gratefulness led to an even greater blessing, the salvation of his soul.

Subtle Narcissism

I have a lot of conservative associates who have the mentality of those nine lepers. They know where their blessings come from but they’re ungrateful for them.

They cry incessantly about the state of the country yet never thanking the Lord in their rants that they’re able to speak and proclaim the truth.

They vilify liberals with some of the most horrid expressions not once thinking about how this reflects on the One who gave them a voice, life, and breath.

They look at the government as the ultimate evil and are oblivious to the true enemy behind it all.

The reason? It’s all about them. They wrap it in descriptions like truth, liberty, freedom, the Constitution. But when you look closely through the malaise of verbal gyrations, it’s really all about them.

Not One Day

This is not to say to be silent, stand down, say, and do nothing. God forbid. However, it is to say that we should be grateful for so much from the Provider of all things. We should be grateful for being chosen to stand for Truth. We should be grateful that He uses us one more day. We should be grateful that we still have the freedom that many don’t have like brothers and sisters in churches all over the world who are persecuted for their faith. We should be grateful we can walk, talk, type, breathe, and exist.

Don’t let a day go by where we don’t thank the Lord.

Preach Truth. Stand tall. Be obedient. Express gratefulness. Worship the Lord.

Out With The Old, Same With The New

For those of you that have been coming to the blog for a while, you may have noticed that it’s been over a month since my last post. There’s a reason for this.

I was looking closely at this election because I knew a lot was riding on it for the future of this country. What happened in this election was going to determine how I was going to approach the blog to a good degree and my hiatus was to see how this was all going to pan out. Now that the election is over and the votes have been counted, I see now what I must do as a conservative and more importantly as a Christian.

So what’s next for us? How are we to act towards this? Do we run off to some other country knowing that the U.S. may not be much different from where we go? Do we cry woe is me and throw up our hands in defeat to announce the end is near? No. What we do is simple. We’re to do what we’ve always done which is to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. To push forth His agenda, no matter what the cost.

This election has seen the rise towards a nation that will continue downward on its slippery slope into secular humanism and the outright moral (or more aptly immoral) relativism that has come to define it since the 60s and is similar to the fascism that swept through Germany during the Hitler regime. Conservative Christians and just plain old moral conservatives are needed now more than ever.

Many self-imposed ignorant Christians have refused to look at the big picture and voted not based on the tenets of scripture and understanding the whole truth, but voted based on race, political party, or a narcissistic mentality of what was in it for them. As it declares in Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.

For those of us who still continue to follow the Lord and are dedicated to His agenda here in the earth, it’s not a time to hide our heads in the sand and say that it’s over. That’s what the disciples did when the Lord was crucified. They thought that it was over. Yet we all know that it was far from over. It was a new beginning.

That’s what we have now. A new beginning. Conservative Christians and moral conservatives have a hard road ahead of us. We’ll have to work tirelessly through the weapons that we have: prayer, the Word of God, and the fruits of the Spirit. Ultimately, the Truth. Now is the time to put on the whole armor of God, and having done all, to stand. To progress. Move forward.

Are we in the minority? Yes, but that shouldn’t discourage us because we’ve always been in the minority. We should be used to it. Now is the time to continue to do what we are called to do:

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matt. 10:27-28)

We continue to push forth God’s agenda in all arenas of life. There is no separation between what stances we have politically and what we do in worship to the Most High God. Whatever we do,we do for God’s glory (1 Corinthians 10:31) according to sound doctrine (Titus 1:9). We know we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phillipians 4:13). It was Elijah who went alone against the evil of the day and stood against the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:19-40). It was Amos who brought the unpopular message of judgment to Israel as the minority and they said that he was a conspirator against the king (Amos 7:10-17). It was Daniel who stood against the law of the land when that law worked against his worshiping of the one true God (Daniel 6:10-17). We need this kind of holy resolve to face what we’re about to face.

Many people look to the new president elect as a savior. For us, there is one Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ of which the former doesn’t even begin to come close.

This post will upset many, even people who I know personally. Many will say I’m polarizing people or causing friction for the sake of causing friction. Others will hate it because they hate Christians and religion in general. For the former, well…I can only say that if what I say is not according to sound doctrine and the word of God, call me on it. If not however then I challenge you to get off of the fence and ask yourself why you’re upset. For the latter I say that’s your problem.

It’s time to get to work.
