American Patriot. Ungrateful Servant.

There are a lot of people across the United States unsatisfied with the direction the country is going and rightly so. We are in the midst of a socialist regime that seeks to change the very foundations of which this nation was founded. This philosophy, when administrated as a government mandate, suppresses freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is not the fault of one man who is just a figurehead for all that is going wrong in this nation. It is an administration that seeks to polarize and demonize those who don’t hold their views, vilifying them for their belief in God and adhering to the Judeo-Christian values and principles that this nation was founded on (see the David Barton video on the Founders).

While this is all going on, we should really be grateful.

Minority Majority

In the Bible in Luke 17:11-19, there’s a story about Jesus healing ten lepers. He told them to show themselves to the priests and in faith, they got up and went, being healed on the way. Of the ten only one went back and thanked Jesus and a foreigner at that, not a Jew. Ten were blessed but only one was grateful and this gratefulness led to an even greater blessing, the salvation of his soul.

Subtle Narcissism

I have a lot of conservative associates who have the mentality of those nine lepers. They know where their blessings come from but they’re ungrateful for them.

They cry incessantly about the state of the country yet never thanking the Lord in their rants that they’re able to speak and proclaim the truth.

They vilify liberals with some of the most horrid expressions not once thinking about how this reflects on the One who gave them a voice, life, and breath.

They look at the government as the ultimate evil and are oblivious to the true enemy behind it all.

The reason? It’s all about them. They wrap it in descriptions like truth, liberty, freedom, the Constitution. But when you look closely through the malaise of verbal gyrations, it’s really all about them.

Not One Day

This is not to say to be silent, stand down, say, and do nothing. God forbid. However, it is to say that we should be grateful for so much from the Provider of all things. We should be grateful for being chosen to stand for Truth. We should be grateful that He uses us one more day. We should be grateful that we still have the freedom that many don’t have like brothers and sisters in churches all over the world who are persecuted for their faith. We should be grateful we can walk, talk, type, breathe, and exist.

Don’t let a day go by where we don’t thank the Lord.

Preach Truth. Stand tall. Be obedient. Express gratefulness. Worship the Lord.

There are some things we shouldn’t let ourselves forget. I remember seeing this before the election and being appalled and grieved. Pray for him.

An Exegetical Moment: Hating The Light

April 26, 2009 By: P.R.E.Z. Category: anti-christ, barack obama, faith, humanism, liberalism, religious freedom

On Wednesday, April 29th, this image will be unveiled at the New York’s Union Square. It speaks for itself. The artists purports he just wants dialogue and it’s not portraying him as the Christ.

Not everyone was born yesterday.

It is the kind of blasphemy that those in this country perpetrate Obama Blasphemymore and more as we see The Day approaching. It shouldn’t come as a surprise really.

I find this quite ironic after the Obama administration asked Georgetown University to take down all religious symbols before he would make his speech which Georgetown complied with. If someone were to come into my house and tell me to take down all of my religious symbols, I’d simply tell them they’re not coming in my house.

FOLLOWING CHRIST IS NOT POPULAR

Many have the wrong idea about following the Lord. They believe by doing so, we just become nicer people and in turn, everyone will like us and be drawn to us. In a sense, we should become nicer because we are learning how to love:

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you… (Luke 6:27)

Even when we do this, there will be those that hate us as that statement implies. This is a reflection of the total destructiveness of sin.

But another reality of the Christian is that as we get closer to God and walk more in the Spirit, the more those of the world will hate us.The Word Of Gd

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (John 15:18)

Yes. Being a Christian should make us more loving. But it also doesn’t preclude us from standing for the truth. This is why the world hates us. We stand for truth as the light of the world and through that, the world stands condemned.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19)

SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF

No matter what the world says or does, we should continue to spread the Truth in all its forms. That Truth is the word of God which testifies of Jesus Christ.

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. (Matthew 10:27)

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (John 17:17)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  (John 14:6)

What we do is not about being popular, being liked, or even being nice. It’s about being light.
